Low Glycemic Index (GI) Foods

Low GI foods include low-carbohydrate foods, un-processed items, natural citrus fruits, starchy vegetables, legumes, and grains.

Include Proteins in your Diet

No matter how physically well a PCOS patient seems, her metabolic system is weak. Therefore, they require energy-rich foods like proteins to combat the condition aptly. Choose low-cholesterol proteins, like fish, beef, and lamb meat, as they are not only low in calories but are also highly energizing.

Prefer Unprocessed Foods

PCOS patients are strictly instructed to avoid processed fast food. Such food is high in cholesterol, have excessive calories, and can massively hamper hormonal level balance.
PCOS symptoms like hirsutism and acne can also worsen by consuming fast foods. Instead, prefer unprocessed food such as organic meat, legumes, and vegetables while on a PCOS diet. Carrot, apple and aloe-vera juices are really hydrating and good for PCOS.

Try Healthy Spices

Not many people know, but healthy spices like cinnamon and turmeric are found to be PCOS suppressants. They are the anti-inflammatory ingredients which are really good for PCOS inflammation. The cinnamon extract can stabilize hormonal levels and help regulate the menstrual cycle.

Avoid Deep fried products.

Avoiding fried foods is one of the most crucial aims of the PCOS diet. Especially if you are constantly struggling with weight gain and infertility, eradicate fried products especially fast food, from your life.




Along with a balanced diet, a proper exercise regimen is also essential to deal with PCOS. You don't need to do intense workouts since they can trigger cortisol increase; instead, just indulge in slight physical activity daily with a proper diet.
